Timothy Spall's J.M.W.Turner is a repulsive man who communicates mostly in grunts. It is hard to imagine Turner's beautiful art would have been created by someone like that. The movie has some gorgeous images that are reminiscent of Turner's works but at 2,5 hours it would have needed more editing.
