Much as I love Turner's paintings, this film left me cold. Not that the cast did not do an excellent job of acting, but the plot and screenplay did little to help them. The film is entirely disjointed--an uninteresting series of stray incidents from Turner's life without anything to unify them into a life or a coherent whole.
Even the music was discordant. A big disappointment.
