Timothy Spall is likely the most underrated actor in the world. At the very least, everyone should see Pierrepont and this wonderful embodiment of J.M.W. Turner which soars above what could have been another pedestrian effort by Mike Leigh.
Turner's character is an original..it probably took Spall to make him more interesting than he was in life.
