Just goes to show that abuse of political power was a concern to the cinema goer a long time ago. It's Capra, so you probably know what to expect. James Stewart is in his element. I've said so before about b&w classics - there's just no way they could get made today, and thats all the more reason to relish them.
This is particularly good with an outstanding supporting cast.
