Review of Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939) by Fazley A — 22 Oct 2010
One of the hands-down finest films I've ever seen. A powerful, poignant story of the average man's place in American politics, an unapologetic look at political machinations, and a powerhouse of emotional depth.
Jimmy Stewart is absolutely brilliant, Frank Capra's direction is moving, and if ever you felt called to stand up for what is right, you will after seeing this excellent film.
