Review of Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939) by John S — 14 Aug 2009
Rare is the film that manages to be cynical, yet inspiring at the same time--especially when that film regards American government--but this is one of those films. The opening might seem a bit slow to modern viewers (myself included), but once the main conflict takes hold, it's nearly impossible to take your eyes from the screen.
Highly recommended!
