The acting was good, the makeup for Mr. S was creepy, and the set provided an eerie atmosphere. I loved Oskar Homuka as the servant. I read the story Sardonicus years ago and was thoroughly creeped out by it.
This adaptation does it fair justice. If you have a leech phobia, beware!
