As far as comedy goes, I think it tries more to be cute/silly than anything. Don't get me wrong, it was cute for a kids' movie. Just a little weird seeing snow and a snowman in the guy's apartment, but whatever.
(And now my wife wants a penguin! J/k) Jim Carrey played a good part, not too crazy. Recommended for kids and parents alike.
