Review of Mr. Popper's Penguins (2011) by John C — 05 Jan 2012
Pleasantly, surprisingly, good. Some of the humor is very silly, clearly aimed at the younger demographic. Yet, there is a lot of topics which are approached in which the "normal" children's comedy tends to shy away from.
Jim Carrey tends to play the straight-man rather than the eccentric bafoon...kind of like his brilliant role in the Truman Show. Definitely worth a viewing.
