Review of Mr. Popper's Penguins (2011) by Michael V — 10 Jan 2012
"Jim Carrey has his moments here and there made me laugh a few times but he's funnier and better than this. Same with Carla Gugino, who's wasted in this. Bright spot here is Ophelia Lovibond who's very cute and funny as Mr.
Popper's assistant who everything out of her mouth talks with the letter P in every sentence. Penguins are one of my fave creatures so of course they are cute and actually good actors (LOL). It's an ok flick but only watchable on one viewing.
If you are a fan of Carrey (like myself), again you'll be disappointed with him in this and should just skip this and watch any of his good movies on dvd.".
