Mr. Popper's Penguins was one of my favorite books when I was a kid. It's been so long since I've read it that I can't be sure, but I'm fairly certain the movie doesn't hold true to the book at all.
But that doesn't stop it from being incredibly cute, in an over-the-top warm and fuzzy, kiddie kind of way. This was much more enjoyable than I expected it to be.
