Review of Mr. Popper's Penguins (2011) by Sahara K — 20 Oct 2012
More serious than most other movies that Jim Carrey has starred in. This is in no way a bad thing. Instead of being funny it was charming and sweet. The penguins were cute and adorable. I really liked the one called 'Captain'.
Who could almost be regarded as a main character even going so far as to receive character development and achieving a goal, that being flying, which is done in a fun and quirky yet surprising way at the climax towards the end of the film.
All the characters (especially the penguins) were likable in some way or another. Overall a good family film and worth watching if you like Jim Carrey's work.
