Based on the children's book, Mr. Popper's penguin delivered for what it was. A children's movie. This movie is nothing and will never be anything more than this. The penguins are cute and Jim Carrey is funny at times and kids will just eat this movie up.
It has that cheesy family value "theme" to it which is in nearly all children's films nowadays. I recommend this film for anyone ten or under.
