Mr. Peabody & Sherman seems a much watered down version of the original incarnation - a segment within the Rocky & Bullwinle Show - replacing wit for sentimentality and broad humour at the service of a perfunctory plot that sees the characters thrown about different eras where theyencounter Bill & Ted type renditions of historical characters.

Criticisms aside, it still amuses and boasts good voicover work (Ty Burrell is just right as Mr. Peabody and Max Charles is endearing as Sherman). Moreover, it's dazzling audio visual presentation make for a movie that most parents should not mind with their kids.
