Eh. Didn't get into it. Probably made a better tv show, if that's how it started. Mean (spoiled, yet teacher's pet) girl stays in the past and they have to rescue her. Then chaos ensues. Then, naturally, we learn he likes her and she teaches not to be so obedient. Good dog. Bad boy.
Sherman laughing but not understanding Peabody's jokes is likely a joke on kid's not getting the "adult jokes" in these kinds of movies. And farting humor. Oh yes, very clever.
