I'm afraid to say I haven't got around to reading the book yet (though I will one day) but it's on my 'To Read' list. I was intrigued to see this film though because I'd heard a lot about it.
The film itself is entertaining, even if a little slow around the middle, with several very good actors. It in no way glorifies drug dealers but at the same time it does very clearly send the message that the laws against marijuana are pretty daft.
My favourite part of the film might have been seeing Omid Djalii with hair though.
