Of a Loverboy song, Noel Murray wrote:
"I know that nostalgia is a major part of why I respond to songs like "When It's Over"â??with its synth fills, stunted riffs, wailing vocals and unhurried five-minute lengthâ??and why I can't stand similar songs recorded in the even more synthesized style of the late '80s. I was younger and more impressionable when "When It's Over" was a hit, so today it reminds me of poorly lit action-comedies and shopping mall parking lots.".
That's pretty much how I feel about MR. MOM. If it came out now it would drive me nuts. But there's history there.
