Review of Mr. Mom (1983) by Guido S — 11 Jan 2014
Michael Keaton is an engineer when his company furloughs him. His wife decides to go back to work since she hasn't been working since the kids and he stays home since "How bad can it be".
He makes some dumb decisions for being an engineer, and that really put me off. Sure, there wouldn't be much of a movie without that, but he shouldn't have been an engineer then because that really doesn't matter.
He could have been a factory worker and not much would have changed. It has some interesting things, like poker with coupons, but the film largely isn't that funny or interesting.
