A well-intentioned children's film, but it never quite works the way it wants to. Too often it becomes childish when what it wants is to be childlike. That being said, I enjoyed certain aspects of it, and the scene where Mr.
Magorium talks about King Lear is marvelously written. A mixed review from me, with a mild recommendation.
