Review of Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium (2007) by Sam D — 11 Mar 2013
I don't see why the kids wouldn't find some of this movie engaging. Some of this did seem like Burton adapting Dahl, however Mr. Magorium is a much more fun and embracing character than Willy Wonka.
Or even elements of Van Allsburg (author of Jumanji & Zathura) but set in a friendlier atmosphere. I think writer/director Zach Helm succeeds in making a kids film for...kids. Hence a kids film. Parents might be 50/50 on this but it is something the kids should enjoy.
