Yes, definitely a turkey. I expect kids might have enjoyed this in a 'big' cinema; but not one for grownups on a small screen. Natalie Portman channels Julie Andrews while Dustin Hoffman goes large on speech impediments.

The story line is negligible and the special effects are a bit too whizzbangey. It would have benefitted (one 't' or two?) from a few set piece performances from individual toys instead of everything going on at once, far too fast.

Loved the sad, needy monkey though.
