Mr. Magorium's wonder emporium seems to be an exercise that isn't as imaginative as it should have been. It is more or less an amateurish exercise on a toy store with some terrific actors who has nothing to perform at all.
Maybe the film has a nice heart but it is lifeless as the time progresses!
