Review of Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium (2007) by Daniel H — 01 Feb 2012
This film is the kind of pure at heart kids' film that comes along only once in a great while. It evokes a sense of magic and wonder without talking down to kids and without bogging down a children's movie with a load of innuendo meant to keep the adults in the audience amused.
Like the visual effects and the toys themselves, the dialogue is whimsical and lighthearted. The movie never takes itself too seriously, although its lesson is one that more kids and adults would benefit from learning these days.
You're never too old to believe in magic, or yourself.
