Absolutely adored this film!! Though you'll find it with the kid movies, I think it's just as much of a grown-up movie! Ultimately, Natalie Portman is our protagonist. She's feeling "stuck" in her early 20's, not doing what she wants with her life, and feeling she's lost her "sparkle.
" As much as the movie is whimsical and fun, it's also about her learning to believe in herself and getting back in touch, really, with the magic of childhood. Whether you're 5 or 45, I think you'll find something in this film to resonate with you.
Well done. I'm always impressed with Portman's performances. (6-17-10).
