Review of Mr. Jealousy (1998) by Ben B — 07 Apr 2010
The heart, the intention, the situations for comic potential were all there lined up and ready to go. But Baumbach's second feature misses the mark. And unlike his other films (even Margot at the Wedding), Mr.
J surprisingly reeks of artificiality. Stoltz and Sciorra offer no chemistry and Stoltz seems to sleep walk through entire movie.
