Review of Mr. Holmes (2015) by Niels S — 10 Oct 2015
Holmes as an elderly loner losing his memory, recalls his last case of a lonely woman trapped in a loveless marriage who commits suicide. He was rational and unemotional his entire life, but lonely. Story was poignant but subtle, screenplay and acting was good but not great, McKellen seemed a little forced.
Refreshingly unmelodramatic.
