An elegant and sedate addition to the Holmes corpus. A story dealing with loss, regret, loneliness, aging, dementia, truth and a number of other issues through a series of interwoven plotlines thar took us back and forward across Sherlock 's 35 year retirement.
An underplayed tour de force by Ian McKellen.
