Ian McKellen truly is the great Sherlock, he is so good in this character of aged Sherlock, he is even better in the oldster one. I think this Sherlock is the closest version to reality although some maybe call him boring, definitely that is not true, a Sherlock with computer mind and all of his pose about how much he is smarter than the other is not true picture of Sherlock even though in this way his work is more stirring.
The path of story is great, we are in present and the last days of his life, but thru one of his memory, we are able to see what happened in his last case. The events of his last case and the present are connected somehow and form main story.
