As an avid fan of sherlock Holmes, I had high hopes for this film. it was the tale of an old man coming to terms with his death and knowing that companionship is the only true measure of a life. however it took a long time to get there and there was no real edge.
even the sub plot of the lady was not all that mysterious. Bummer since I really like Ian mckellen.
