This unique take on Sherlock Holmes is one of the finest screen adaptions of the character I have seen. It satisfied in me the purist who had balked at the recent "Iron Man" (RDJ) and "Gregory House" (Cumberbatch) interpretations of the character.
Ian McKellen is superb as a Sherlock whose mind is not what it used to be.
