Review of Mr. Holland's Opus (1995) by Dan H — 28 Jun 2008
Hadn't seen this movie in a long time, I remember liking it a lot, upon seeing it again I still like it a lot. It's a throwback to those "I didn't know people appreciated what I do" stories, and Richard Dreyfuss & co.
play their parts well. Even though he refused to give my mom his autograph, I still think he's a great (but mean) actor. The plot can become a little too fluffy at times, but still does a fine job of presenting the music man's career through the years.
On a different note (get it...), Mr. Holland always reminded me of my high school choir director, for better or for worse...
