Review of Mr. Holland's Opus (1995) by Codie E — 25 Apr 2010
An enjoyable but flawed film that is anchored by an excellent performance from Richard Dreyfuss. I had big problems with the passages of time in the film and some of the superfluous story strands. But, some individual moments were touching, in a very sentimental way, and the performances and musical cues (except for the end) were all sound (pun intended).
