Review of Mr. Holland's Opus (1995) by Dave L — 09 Sep 2011
One of the most wonderful films of the 1990s, and perhaps one of the greatest films of time. The seamless tale of Mr. Holland's life as he goes from being a reluctant teacher of music, to an inspirational man in his community.
Richard Dreyfuss is profound in his acting, his co-stars have the heart and comedy needed for the film, and the music is sublime, with the perfect mix of classical, jazz, broadway and rock and roll. It really is a timeless classic that I'd recommend for anyone to watch.
