I remember parts of this movie being a bit syrupy, but there were things I liked a lot about it as well. I remember watching this movie with a music teacher, which made it fun. I remember enjoying both Dukakis' and Witt's characters, and I thought the storyline about the deaf son was pretty interesting as well.
