Kevin Costner and William hurt were great as Mr Brooks and that whole side of the story worked really well, a bit like Dexter but pure monster rather than part vigilante.
Downside was Demi Moore's character got air time and back story but never really went anywhere, felt like it was being set up as a future story with her continuing hunt but didn't really resolve. The whole millionaire cop thing also seemed unnecessary and a pointless.
