Review of Mr. Brooks (2007) by Henrik I — 03 Aug 2010
A great intense intelligent thriller. The Costner's character is awesome, maybe Earl Brooks is an anti-hero, but it will be appreciated because he's so damn smart. Another interesting character, his alter-ego well played by William Hurt who goes by the name of Marshall.
Interaction between these two actors is simply fascinating, and the idea by freezing time around Earl and Marshall and letting the dialogue play out, is interesting. I like Mr Brooks's character because when you look at his face you can't read his emotions or thoughts, it's like a poker face, you never know what his intentions really are.
