Review of Mr. Brooks (2007) by Peter P — 25 Aug 2010
Mr. Brooks is a really really good movie, that I think most people have probably never seen. It has a good cast, Costner is freakin amazing as Brooks, the tortured soul who really does not want to kill anybody all the while being egged on by his imaginary devil of the shoulder played by William Hurt to a T, always craving that instant gratification of the thrill of killing.
And then surprisingly Dane Cook plays a pretty serious role that he is great in, who knew that was possible. And then the story itself is pretty original for a change, and the ending just puts the icing on the cake.
The only reason I did not give Mr. Brooks 5 stars is due to the language and nudity that is smattered through out, so that dropped it down a bit, but other then that, awesome movie.
