Review of Mr. Brooks (2007) by Matt L — 25 May 2011
I was expecting a decent movie, but I actually really enjoyed it. Costner surprised me and I didn't hate Dane Cook as an actor. William Hurt was very enjoyable as well.
I didn't overly appreciate Demi's character as she came off a little too driven and maybe even superhuman.
The story kept me guessing and surprised me in a number of ways.
Similar to American Psycho but less crazy and cheesy, which worked for that movie and Christian Bale. Mr. Brooks is more subdued and calculating, which certainly works for Kevin Costner.
