Review of Mr. Brooks (2007) by Don S — 29 Sep 2012
I enjoyed this change of pace for Kevin Costner. He makes a believable serial killer. Well acted on the parts of Costner, Hurt and Moore; didn't really think Cook was right for his role and detracted from the serious nature of the movie.
Helgenberger and Panabaker were mostly window dressing. Though I would have liked more details on the Marshall character, this mystery did not derail my enjoyment. Tautly plotted and psychologically intense winner.
