Review of Mr. Bean's Holiday (2007) by Alexander C — 07 Dec 2012
''The guy with the camera is fired. ''.
WHOEVER MADE THIS IS ALSO FIRED!
Mr. Bean travels to the South of France on holiday, causing the usual mayhem and ending with an unscheduled screening of his video diary at the Cannes Film Festival.
Rowan Atkinson: Mr. Bean.
Shocking. Seeing this again, just shocking. A convoluted trashy mess that fails to be funny as we are treated to antics that don't make sense. Plot wise there is no plot it's a jumble and it shows.
The original series of Bean on English TV had great writing, brilliant gags and originality. This film is just a waste of time.
Rowan Atkinson is wasted on this sequel to the equally bland first film that in my mind should never have been cashed in on by Hollywood hoping to capitalize on Bean.
I mean what do we actually get from this film? A weird man running round in circles having random stuff happen to him. If we wanted that we could just switch on Bean:The Animated Series. A man who can't even speak hardly any English attempting another language is a joke too.
Granted this film will make you laugh but for all the wrong reasons, you will laugh and scoff at how bad it truly is.
Maybe they might have made a film of Only Fools and Horses in the 80s now that would be shocking...
An advice to a third film? DON'T! unless its him retiring or a better script and story, not this joke.
