Review of Mr. & Mrs. Smith (1941) by Neville P — 07 Oct 2007
His most uniquely American film; a screw-ball comedy that defintes the genre. It doesn't surprise me that Hitch latched onto it; the premise is astounding: doing it all over again, for real. Contrary to what most seem to think, comedy wasn't atypical for Hitchcock---take "North by Northwest," a classic comedy.
