Finally a modern Indian film which sadness doesn't rely on camera circling the characters, repetitive cut to heigtened the sentiments, and also restrained cries. I can relate with the religion clash turmoil situation, because it often happens here in my country too.
Aparna Sen is deftly enough not treat the melodrama with cheap sentiment.
