Review of Mozart and the Whale (2005) by Brian W — 01 Apr 2007
A wonderfully made romantic comedy/drama that has a twist: the couple, played by Josh Hartnett and Radha Mitchell, both have Asperger's Syndrome. While the plot may be a bit formulaic but the cast are completely convincing and there is a beautiful honesty to it.
Josh Hartnett gives one of his best performances here but it is Radha Mitchell who delivers another excellent turn which would be up there as one of her best. I guess I why I really this much is, like the two leads, I too have Asperger's Syndrome (althought a small miled form of it but you wouldn't know it if you met me) and I could relate to it on a personal level.
This is a terrific film that everyone might enjoy.
