Review of Mozart and the Whale (2005) by Jeremy B — 25 Jul 2007
This is a touching story and a good introduction to Asperger's Syndrome, but no more than an introduction. Hartnett's performance was over the top; he falls off the edge of Asperger's into lower strata of the autistic spectrum.
His counterpart's character hit the mark. I saw this movie because I felt it was my duty as an aspie to be aware of it; I look forward to using to explain that I'm not as "cold" as I seem ? well, maybe I am, but in an aloof or vacant sort of way instead of something heartless.
