Review of Mozart and the Whale (2005) by Donna D — 27 Jul 2009
A mostly well done attempt at portraying people in the autistic spectrum. It is done in broad strokes of course. Various characters are used to convey different aspects of the disorder. Many don't like this film because of what it isn't and not what it is.
It wasn't intended to be a documentary. It does, however, show the difficulties that autistic people have coping with the frightening "normal" world and personal relationships.
