Review of MouseHunt (1997) by Kara S — 18 Feb 2013
Well to be fair, when I was little I enjoyed it fine but now when i'm older I find it..... confusing.Why? Because who do we sympathize with? The brothers? The mouse? I don't know... the exterminator? We don't know much about the mouse so why should we care if it gets hurt sure its smart but thats the only personality we get from it and nothing else.
What about the brothers? Well they're trying to restore a house that was left to them by their deceased father and hopefully get a good bid on it by rich entrepreneurs. Right? So wheres the comedy if they are struggling to catch a mouse and restore a rundown house AND pay off a mortgage on the house? Nowhere! its sad just plain sad.
.. this shouldn't be a comedy if you don't have humor in it or even if the elements in it aren't funny. Maybe when I was younger it got a giggle out of me but today its just an unfunny mess.
