I was really determined to love this movie. As usual, it never ends well. Looking at the ingredients, it should have turned out great. Nicole and Ewan give solid performances. So do Leguizamo and Broadbent.
The costumes and the whole visual aspect is great. The songs are wonderful, particularly the rendition of 'Roxanne' and 'Your Song'. However, overall I was somehow bored. Maybe I should blame the story but it surely isn't worse than average.
Can't really tell what was wrong or missing. Something just was, imo.
