Based on set & costume design alone this over the top production is Lush, glamourised and lacking quality over substance.
Moulin Rouge is a bit of a mess. It still baffles me why this movie is so popular among the mainstream - it's kind of a naughty version of Glee, with very little stirring emotional content embedded inside - but at least Ewan McGregor is really hot.
