This romantic musical is more than a musical. It is a kaleidoscopic explosion of colour, music, themes and emotions containing moments of tragedy, comedy, bitterness, and farce in which to get swept up in the exuberance of the story and excess in all its elements.
This is, quite simply, a brilliant and my favourite film.
