Review of Mother's Day (2016) by Cynthia B — 02 May 2016
So I watched this movie and it inspired all the emotions you want to experience. Yeah it wasn't an epic film that is likely to win an Oscar, but a lot of the Oscar picks in recent years have been films I would never want to see.
I guess it didn't live up to Gravity in the shear crap that they are putting on film and conning critics into thinking it is art. I thought the performances were good, and it didn't try to force a rebound relationship between two people.
It showed the flaws of familial bonds and that you can still love someone even if they aren't perfect. Maybe if they wanted an Oscar they could have made some crap film about a man with a bird ego who lives in his head, instead of a movie that is there to entertain and make us feel good.
